9th September 2011 (4th day)
Today’s Programme is just one PJM lecture in the morning.
PJM lesson taught about Construction process and we had an early dismissal because Mr. Wee does not want us to squeeze with other students to queue for our food. Apparently, we delayed and asked question, once we reached there, they are lots of people already queuing inside. This time round, my roommates and I are smarter, we brought our own utensils. Again, we bought rice and ingredients and shared among ourselves.
After eating, we went back hostel and pack our things and went to my friend’s room (Xuanru) for gathering before going out. And we slept on their bed which is in the living room; they made it using sofa pillows and blanket so they 3 guys will sleep together. And we also played games over there, such as: “Taupok Game”, “Sushi Roll”, and “Banana Attack”. After awhile, we left to take Bus 510 to Guangu for shopping time. The guys and girls got split up and decided that 6pm, we’ll meet back at the meeting point that we disperse.
Inside the 510 Bus!
Inside the 510 Bus!
The girls walk around and saw ‘Beard Papa’, which Singapore also has it. And it really smells nice and they took some puffs out from the oven, so we shared and tried the Chocolate and Strawberry flavor. It cost 10RMB each, $2.
Daphne & Alicia
Angela!
And we went shopping around but didn’t really spotted anything nice because we decided to go to the streets and see if there’s any good deals. If there isn’t, we will come back again when we are free. One of the girls (Angela) bought a stocking and the shopping tenant named a price, and I decided to help her to negotiate because we know that they would set a higher price to foreigners. Therefore we managed to reduce a few RMB and we are satisfied and continue to walk around. Soon, we are tired and called the boys to meet up for dinner.
Girl's Power!
We played the 4D ride game at Level1. We chose the 'Forest Adventure Ride' to play, and it's about 4 minutues only. This ride game also can be found in Singapore, in the past i know that Escape Theme Park do have, but it's not operatiny anymore. The machine is called the situmlator! It cost 200RMB for 12 people, which is $40 for 12 ppl, each $3.33. I felt that it's too fast as i have not enjoy enough yet, i like the adventure that the car is going through and you can feel the sudden impact.
After much discussion, we for dinner at Guangu Shopping Centre, Level4, it is a street place that sells a lot of small snacks and they are all really delicious! (PICTURES OF ALL FOOD!)
Smelly Toufu, my first time eating it! not smelly enough :/Chicken Wings!
Tako Balls, average standard only!
This is nice! Roti Prata with any ingredidents that are stated!
This guy over here says that no photography is allowed, and i find it weird. And i ponders me why do they not allow us to capture them. Is it because they fear we will mention bad about their food? Maybe they dont like to take photograph? Maybe they are illegal immgrants? hahah! Ohwell, i dont know the answer and i find it weird because comparing to Singapore. The shop tenant would be willing to let you take pictures of their store and also their food because mostly people will published them on blogs, newspaper or even recommendations to friends. Therefore it's a good way of making business if you dont fear that you are not making good food and dare to show your skills.
Sudden stop infront of the pathway!
So kawakiiii! :D (ET!)
My pose! (: *cheeeese!
After that, it’s our first time taking a private bus back to hostel, which cost 30RMB, $6 splited among 11 people. This kind of service cannot be found in Singapore, because Singapore transportation on road for public is only Taxi or Bus. And the taxi initial cost is already $2.80 and can only fetch 4 people. If we are talking about the bigger size of Taxi, there will extra charges for booking of it and overall it will be much expensive than in China. And this concept is somehow similar to Indonesia. Indonesia has this kind of service which is called the bus, the bus will go round fetching people, and saw anyone who need transport, then the bus will stop and allow the passenger to board and stop anywhere the person wants with a cents too.
And that’s all for today, tomorrow is Saturday, our first outing with the whole class to Botanical Garden. Goodnight!
