Today’s Programme is visiting the Chang Chun Temple and 911 Revolution Museum.
We took a bus to the Chang Chun temple with 2 of our student leaders, IS teacher. When we reached, we are given a brief introduction by our IS teacher before entering into the temple.
Chang Chun Temple
We went into the Tai Qing Palace which the history explained the foundation for Taoism. It came about from the Lord Lao Tzu of the Great Monad with Wen Shi on this left and Zhuang Zi on his right. And Taoism is a natural theory including the inner-laws of everything in the universe, no matter how huge or tiny it is, Scholar of the past called it the theory of Lord Lao Tzue, and it has also been called Lao Yi with another Taoist classic Yi Jing together. The work of Lao Tzue, Tuo Te Ching which includes the inner laws of everything in the universe, is a beacon for later generations forever.
We also went to the Qi Zhen Palace where there are statues of the seven disciples of Wang Chongyang, the patriarch of Quan Zhen School in Taoism, inside the palace. The seven disciples are: Qiu Chuji, Father of Long Man Sect of Quan Zhen School, Ma Danyang, the Father of Yu Xian Sect, Tan ChuDuan, the Father of Yu Shan Sect, Liu Chuxuan, the Father of Sui Shan Sect, Wang Chuyi, the Father of Yu Shan Sect, Hao Datong, the Father of Hua Shen Sect, and Sun Buer, the Mother of Qing Jing Sect. Among them Qiu Chuji has greatly propagandize Taoism by preaching and propagating doctrines of Taoism to masses. And so far, Long Man Sect has still been the major sect of Quen Zhen School. And Yan Jiu Festival falls on the nineteenth day of the fifth month Chinese lunar calendar. On that day, people hold a Taoist temple called Qiu Chun.
We also went to San Huang Palace which talks about Lord of Fu Zi and Lord of Shen Nong.
Thanks, there’s a great monk who talk to us about what is going on and told us some knowledge about life. He goes saying some stuff like we should dry out what it is inside us and in order to be smart, one has to be everyone’s disciple, has to be humble and learn everything. Which is same as to have a child, one has to be hollow first in order to bear one. The monk also talks about woman have to be gentle and represent the moon while the man represents the sun. He also mentioned that those who are smart who always play around are
unlikely to be smart because they spent their time just talking away unlike the quite ones.
I observed that a few monks carried hand phone as they held them when they exit the temple door. It is actually not true that monk is very traditional and is not following the trend. Soon, we exited the place while my friends went to get some stuffs for their parents.
Next destination is the Memorial Hall of Wuchang Uprising in 1911 Revolution (武汉辛亥革命武昌起义纪念馆) at Yuema Square, Wuchang District .It has Bizhang Square, flower bed and fountain in the front, as well as Sun Yat-sen. The hall has the exhibits of the Wuchang uprising, the achievements of Sun Yat-sen, Huangxing etc. Such pictures that I have taken are:

After that, we went back to school to have lunch and continue with PJM lecture in the afternoon.
And for dinner, I tried out the BBQ food which is very cheap too.
Example for the Golden Mushroom, it’s 1 RMB, $0.20 and for chicken wings will be 5RMB, $1. However I find that the seasonings put unto the food is really too much that I takeaway them back to hostel and put a little of hot water to it before eating them. But I find myself accepting the strong taste of food in China already.
