29 th Oct 2011 (24th day)

LcL Project Day!

Early morning we woke up about 10am and have our breakfast (MacDonald’s delivery), but I know that I shouldn’t eat so much of fried food because once I fall sick I will have a hard time taking care of myself. So I rather not eat it for few times since I ate before and I ate some other food for breakfast.

As usual, our friend who offers to help in ordering delivery has to quarrel with the person who picked up the phone for more sauce. In Singapore you can take as much Chilli sauce in the restaurant itself and they are not so stingy with the amount of sauce given. And I still don’t understand why China always limits the amount of packet to give since we ordered so many sets.

After our breakfast, we started our LcL discussion at 12pm, and we are being tasked to tackle Case A & B together. So our clique gathered at Level 4 and sit around and with everyone’s agreement that we believe it’s better to come out the answer altogether than splitting up to groups for Case A&B.
Through this discussion, I can realise who are those who helps and put in effort and contribute some points no matter they are relevant or irrelevant, whereas some just listen. I know that this is a discussion as a big group but we allow for anyone’s voice out. I sincerely hope those who didn’t speak up during that time would speak up more during other discussion because this skill is important in work life in future. For example, if you just keep quiet during discussion for a new proposal, this might leads to a bad impression for the employer because there is no contribution being made.

During discussion, we have a lot of disagreement that arise because of the sentences phrasing which may leads to the error of our answers in the project. Therefore between friends, we have to solve it nicely between the small agreements by saying each other’s point of view. Because in life, there always bound to have this kind of disputes happening daily as we will be working with different people that thinks differently to come up with something different.  It is better to start learning how to solve and handle with different situations with different character of people. Hence, it is a good learning experience for us to learn much more than in Singapore
.
We discussed from 12pm all the way till 6:30pm with a short break in-between to get some food and relax. After we have settled all the answers, we went for dinner and everyone literally went crazy to have fun before we start doing out the presentation.

Thank you to the guys who went across the roads to get girls our meals on the rainy night. And when they came back, they feet were muddy and shorts were already dirty with spots of mud. After dinner, we split up to build up the presentation slides till midnight before we sleep.

This LcL project is really a memory to me because it was the only once we discuss as a whole ever since Year 1 but not as small groups. We came up with answers and contributed all our efforts, cracking our heads together and no one fall asleep or dare to say they are tired. As we know this project is very important because it can affect our results greatly, therefore we give in our best and hope we will do well tomorrow for presentation.
